The CDP runs an ArtisEconomic Liberation project, which is a skills development project for women in Bertrams and the surrounds.
This is an income generation project aimed at relieving the impact of poverty and to assist the women to escape the poverty cycle
and indigence. The women have produced amazing jewelry, beaded bracelets and ribbons to observe the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender
Based Violence as well as the World AIDS Day.
The CDP has a policy about always bringing women together from diverse cultural and national backgrounds. The aim is to promote a common understanding and
empathy of their lives as women, which are often fraught with gender-violence, poverty and other social challenges regardless of where the woman comes from.
We focus on women, as we believe 'where there are women there is community!'
